A lifelong resident of Yonkers, Donald graduated from St John’s University School of Law and practiced law as an Administrative Law Judge for New York State until his retirement.
Donald enjoyed the beach, especially Montauk, and often traveled to upstate New York and
Colorado to visit his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed a few international trips,
including visits to Ireland and Italy. He had an appreciation for sharks, loved music (especially
the Rolling Stones), old movies, and anything to do with World War 2 history.
Donald thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren and never missed
an occasion to send a funny greeting card or “something fun” as a gift.
Donald was a beloved dad, “NY Grandpa”, brother, and friend. He is survived by son David,
daughter Donna, her husband Trevor and children Kathryn and John, sister Mary Ann, brother
Andrew and his wife Betty and their sons Steven, Brian, and Kevin. The family would like to
extend a special thanks to neighbor Tim Spaun for his ongoing kindness and support of Donald.
The family will hold a private memorial to celebrate Donald’s life. He will truly be missed.
