Edward J. Muto

Edward J. Muto of Scarsdale, NY passed away on January 4, 2014 at age 76. He was the son of the late Catherine (Black) and Edward P. Muto and was born on December 15, 1937 in Riverdale, NY. He attended Bronx schools and was a graduate of All Hollows High School. He was employed by the Fire Department of New York City (FDNY) and retired in 1976. He was self employed and the president of Supertrans NY, Inc. a Yonkers based school bus company that serves students from regional area schools including Horace Mann, Riverdale Country and Fieldston. He is survived by his wife, Nydia; daughter Nicole; stepson Jonathan (Letty) Santos; grandchildren Nicholas, Andre and Natalia; a sister Maryann Muto; and father in-law Higinio Santana; and his dog Kooper. Ed enjoyed reading books, traveling, fishing and spending time with his family and friends. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday January 7, 2014 from 5 to 9pm at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held at 9:30am on Wednesday, January 8th at the Monastery Church of the Sacred Heart. Interment will follow at the Mt. Hope Cemetery.
