

Felisa Figueroa (nee Castellano), a longtime Yonkers resident, died on Saturday February 3, 2018 at White Plains Hospital. She was 90 years old. She was born on January 6, 1928 to Alfredo and Maria Jesus Rodriguez Castellano in Bogota, Colombia. She was educated in Mexico. Mrs. Figueroa was a maintenance supervisor at Yonkers City Hall for 18 years retiring on August 9, 1996. She was a former parishioner of St. Mary’s Church in Yonkers and enjoyed reading poetry, watching Spanish soap operas and especially enjoyed walking. She married her loving husband, Alex Figueroa in New York City. Mr. Figueroa died on May 30, 1994. Mrs. Figueroa is survived by three daughters, Christina Cartagena of Hartsdale, Patricia D’Agostino and her husband Dominic of Lake Mary, Fl. and Elsa Figueroa of Yonkers and two sons, Alex Figueroa of Yonkers and George Figueroa and his wife Elizabeth of Mahopac. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Tanya, Monica, Melissa, Kristopher, Felisa, Dominic, Jr. and Brandon. She was predeceased by a brother, Alfredo Castellano and a granddaughter, Erika.. Visiting hours will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Christ the King Church on Wednesday February 7th at 10am. Entombment will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 12365 Lewis St., Garden Grove, Ca. 92840.
