Helen M. Burke, a lifelong resident of Yonkers passed away peacefully Thursday, September 22nd at Lawrence Hospital in Bronxville. Born in Yonkers on February 7, 1928 to Maryann and Daniel Hurley. She was predeceased by her husband Michael D. Burke, as well as sisters Louise Holland, Mary Van Scoy and Dorothy Fitzgerald. Helen was a devoted mother and is survived by Carol Ann of Hartsdale, Susan of Yonkers, Michael (Vivian) of Fishkill, N.Y., and loving grandchildren Nicolle and Conrad. Sister Madeline Langan also survives her. Helen was a much beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews. Helen will be truly missed by those she loved and by all of the lives she touched. Her kindness and compassion will be her legacy on earth as she looks down upon us from Heaven. Visiting hours will be at the Whalen & Ball Funeral on Sunday, 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Church on Monday, September 26th at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
