Isabella C. Vance (nee Tomson) of Yonkers died on Monday, July 11, 2016 at age 85.Born on April 30, 1931 to Neil and Isabelle (Cowie) Tomson where she was raised and graduated from Commerce High School. Mrs. Vance worked as a cashier for the A & P Market in Yonkers for over twenty-five years. On January 30, 1951 she married William S. Vance in Yonkers, he survives. Isabella was a member of the South Presbyterian Church; the Eastern Star; Daughters of Scotia and American Legion. Besides her husband William; she is survived by her son Steven (Karen) Vance and her grandson Gregory. She was predeceased by her other son Gregory who died in 1982. Visiting hours will be at the Whalen & Ball Funeral on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the South Presbyterian Church on Friday, July 15th at 10:00 a.m. Interment Kensico Cemetery. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
