Jean M. Noonan

Jean Marie Humphrey Noonan died on Wednesday, May 23rd of complications following surgery. A life-long resident of Yonkers, she was the beloved wife of Edward James Noonan (1966) and long-time companion of Fred Twardosz (2010). She is survived by her brother Edward, sister Eileen (Raymond Buckley), her children, Kevin (Cheryl Steiger), Allison (Steven Foster), Gregory (Janet) and Claire (Kevin Woody), her grandchildren Michael, Deirdre, James, Frank, Allison, Adele, William and Kevin, and many dear nieces and nephews. Her brother Brud preceded her in death on April 19, 2012. She was a devoted parishioner of Christ the King Church, and before her retirement worked at Refined Syrups and Sugars in Yonkers. Her family and friends will miss her and keep her always in their hearts and prayers. Visiting will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Monday May 28th from 2-4 & 7-9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Christ the King Church on Tuesday May 29th at 10am. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. The Noonan family would like to thank the staff of St. John’s Riverside Hospital I.C.U. for the way they cared for their mother.
