Joan McLean

Joan McLean of Yonkers died on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at age 80. Born on June 23, 1932 to William and Ethel (Henderson) McLean in Yonkers where she was raised and graduated from Gorton High School. Joan worked as a H.R. Benefits Coordinator for Phelps Dodge for over thirty years; only to stop when they moved. She then worked for Intertechnical in Westchester County. Ms. McLean is survived by her two sisters; Maureen Sutherland and Jeanette McAnally and her brother William (Gayle) McLean and her Aunt Marge McLean. She is also survived by fourteen nieces/nephews and eighteen great nieces/nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Ethel Shelly. Visiting hours will be at the Whalen and Ball Funeral Home on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Heart Church on Saturday, February 16th at 9:30 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
