John Yohannan, a devoted and gentle soul, passed away on December 18, 2025, at the age of 94. Born on December 31, 1930, in Yonkers, New York, John was the cherished son of Jonathan and Rebecca (Envia) Yohannan. He was raised and educated in Yonkers, where he spent the entirety of his life.
A hard-working and honest man, John honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Following his military service, he dedicated many years of his career as a laborer at the Otis Elevator Company in Yonkers, before retiring.
John was predeceased by his parents, his sister Margaret Helen Baba in 2013, and her husband, Jean "Frenchy" Baba in 2023. He leaves behind several close friends who will remember him for his thoughtful nature.
A graveside service and interment will be held on Monday December 22, 2025, from 10:30 am to 11:00 am at Mount Hope Cemetery, located at 50 Jackson Ave, Hastings-on-Hudson, NY 10706.
