

Keith R. Eichhorn was born in Brooklyn, NY on April 9, 1955 to Robert and Marilyn Eichhorn. He passed away on December 27, 2022 after a long battle with cancer. In 1972, he proudly joined the U.S. Army until 1976. He served in the 101st Airborne Screaming Eagles. In 1984, he was hired with the City of Yonkers as a sanitation worker and became a member of Teamsters Local 456. He was proud to say he worked for the City of Yonkers. In 2001, he transferred to the Department of Street Maintenance where he retired in 2010. On July 15, 2001 he married the love of his life Theresa in Millwood, NY. They took a long time to find each other but from the moment they met it was love at first sight. They completed each other. Through sickness and health their bond was unbreakable.
Keith is survived by his wife, Theresa, six children Christine, Kathleen, Brian (Lauren), Lisa, Michael (Jessica), Patricia (Thomas). He is also is survived by 13 grandchildren who he loved dearly. As well as his mother Marilyn, three sisters Dawn (Keith), Janet and Donna. Also, survived by his stepmother (Barbara) and was predeceased by his father (Robert).
Keith was a man full of laughs, jokes, funny faces, optimism and heroic strength. He had a nickname for everyone and everything. He loved his dog Buddy dearly. His grandchildren brought his so much joy and happiness. Some of his favorite hobbies were going to the casino and movies with Theresa, playing games on his ipad, playing with his grandchildren, and taking care of his plants. He will be sorely missed and remembered by so many for his “Never Give Up” view on life.
Visiting hours will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Thursday December 29th from 4pm to 8pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday December 30th at 10am in Sacred Heart Church in Yonkers, followed by a cremation.
Inurnment of ashes will take place on Friday January 6, 2023 at 11am in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. All are welcome to attend.
