Marian Ann Petrosine died December 8, 2014 in Florida. Marian was born and lived in Yonkers until 2013 when being ill forced her to leave her home of sixty four years at 170 Edgewood Avenue, Yonkers. She was born September 28, 1914. Yes she was 100 years old. It was a target she wanted to reach and did, with a smile. She was born Marian Manfredi to Tess Penzo and Frank Manfredi the Middle child of eight siblings. Frank had a barber shop on Nepperhan Avenue directly across from Alexander’s Carpet Shop. She married Joseph T. Petrosine, a local lad, a manager at First National Bank in Yonkers, who died in 1963. Until then Marian spent years managing a stocking store in Getty Square but re-schooled her skills and went on to become a purchasing manager for Children’s Village in Dobbs Ferry and worked well into her seventies while focusing on traveling and people loved. She is survived by their children Joan and Joseph, grandchildren Danielle, Richard and Joseph and four great grandchildren. Marian loved her home and considered Yonkers home, always no matter where she was. Welcome home dear one. Visiting hours Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. & 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial in St. Ann’s Church on Saturday, December 13th at 10:00 a.m.
