Mary Jo Fee

.Mary Jo Fee, known by all who loved her as Doey, passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Little Falls Hospital in Little Falls, New York while travelling. She was a current resident of Blairstown, New Jersey. Doey was born on March 20, 1944 in Yonkers, New York to Daniel Mullin and Kathryn Connery Mullin. She grew up surrounded by the love of her family on Jones Place in Yonkers, New York. She received her elementary education at Our Lady of the Rosary School and St. Joseph’s School and graduated from Commerce High School (Yonkers) in 1962. After high school, she began work at Phelps Dodge as an office worker for a number of years and where she met her true love and future husband, John Joseph “Jack” Fee. They were married on July 24, 1965 at St. Josephs Church (Yonkers) and lived in Yonkers with their children, Lori Anne, Christopher, David Scott and Patricia Anne until Jack’s sudden passing in 1977. Doey and her children moved to Highland, New York where she was employed at Staff Lighting for a number of years. The family had fond memories of their years spent in Highland and Doey eventually moved to Buffalo and Nanuet where she was able to enjoy time with her immediate and extended family. She retired from Diamond Ford in 2004 and moved to Blairstown, New Jersey. In her retired years, she enjoyed spending time with her very extensive family and very much looked forward to her trips with her sisters on their “sisters’ weekends” and beach trips to Rehoboth, Delaware with the entire clan. Her grandchildren were the light of her life and she was often found watching their games, concerts, and plays and showing them how to become expert Scrabble players, as she was. She especially loved listening to Colin’s jokes. Doey is survived by her children Lori Anne (Michael) Swistak of Frelinghuysen, New Jersey, Christopher John (Ella) Fee of Pembroke, New York, David Scott Fee of Blairstown, New Jersey and Patricia Anne Fee of Buffalo, New York, her grandchildren Colin Christopher Fee, John Michael “Jack” Swistak, Kathryn Rose Swistak and Holly Swistak, siblings Katherine McDonald of Suffern, New York, Rita Mullin of New Paltz, New York, Patricia (David) Begin of Hoosick Falls, New York, Thomas (Frida) Mullin of West Palm Beach, Florida, Jacqueline Fleming of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, Judith Gatley of Columbus, Ohio, Daniel (Dorothy) Mullin of Beaufort, South Carolina, Geralyn Mullin of Peekskill, New York and Kerry Ann (Terry) Ciccaglione of Cold Spring, New York, sisters in law, Arlene (Gene) Fee-Meyer of Estero, Florida and Maureen Fee of Briarcliff Manor, New York, and a multitude of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends whom she greatly loved. She will also be missed by her grand cats, Sydney and Oscar (Patricia Fee). Doey was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack, her parents Daniel and Kathryn Mullin, her mother in law Agnes Fee, and her brothers in law, William McDonald, Robert Fee, Brian Fee, Martin Fleming and Alan Gatley and her sister in law Annette Mullin. A visitation will be held at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home, Park Avenue, Yonkers, New York on Thursday, November 30, 2017. The family will be greeting friends and relatives from 2pm-4pm and 7pm – 9pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 10am at St. Joseph’s Church Yonkers New York. Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
