Mary Mancini

Mary A. Mancini (nee Alfini), a resident of Boca Raton, Fl. formerly of Yonkers, died on Thursday March 30, 2017 at St. John’s Riverside Hospital. She was 99 years old. She was born on June 13, 1917 to James and Jenny Mastropolo Alfini in New York City. She was raised and educated in Yonkers, graduating from Commerce High School. Mrs. Mancini was a member of the North Yonkers Community Church and more recently a member of the Boca Raton Methodist Church in Florida. She married her loving husband, Frank A. Mancini in 1941 in Ossining. Mr. Mancini died in 2007. Survivors include a son, Frank R. Mancini of Boca Raton, a daughter, Sallie Joyce and her husband Martin of Yonkers, a brother Raymond Alfini of No. Palm Beach, Fl. and a sister, Mildred DiFiore of Yonkers. She is also survived by her two grandchildren, Peter and Alisa Joyce. She was predeceased by six brothers and sisters. A memorial service will be held at the First Reform Church (North Yonkers Community Church), 18 Farragut Ave. (corner of Broadway), Hastings on Hudson on Saturday April 1st at 1:30pm.
