

Maryellen West Dennison, a resident of Plattekill, N.Y. formerly of Yonkers died on Thursday August 8, 2013 in Levittown, N.Y. She was 53 years old. She was born on November 23, 1959 to Alexander and Mary Drain West in Yonkers where she was raised and educated. She was a graduate of Maria Regina High School in Hartsdale. Mrs. Dennison was an import manager at the Folsom Corporation, a clothing import company in Mahwah, N.J. for the past sixteen years. She was a former parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in Yonkers and most recently a parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Church in Plattekill. Her hobbies included hiking and traveling. In September 2006, she married her husband, Harvey Dennison in Our Lady of Fatima Church in Plattekill. Mr. Dennison survives and lives in Plattekill. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a brother Alexander West and his wife, Roberta of White Plains and two sisters, Nancy McGowan and her husband, Bernard of Basehor, Kansas and Kathleen Pike and her husband, Robert of Levittown, N.Y. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, several great nieces and great nephews and many aunts, uncles, cousins and wonderful friends. She was predeceased by a brother, John West. Visiting hours will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Monday 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Church on Tuesday August 13th at 11 am.
