Michael Bybel, Sr. of Yonkers died on Wednesday January 1, 2014 at age 99. He was born on June 15, 1914 to Frank and Mary Bybel in Yonkers where he was raised and educated. Mr. Bybel worked as a delivery man for Dellwood Dairy in Yonkers. On June 11, 1944 he married Irene Gorman in Immaculate Conception Church in Tuckahoe, she died in 2010. Michael was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church. He is survived by his 2 sons Michael Jr., and Frank Bybel. He was predeceased by his son Richard 2006, his brother John and sisters Jewel Babiar and Rosiland Bybel. Visiting hours will be at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on both Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be in Sacred Heart Church on Monday January 6th at 11am. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
