Michael Potanovic

Michael Potanovic of Wappingers Falls formerly of Yonkers died on Wednesday May 21, 2014 at age 52. Born on February 28, 1962 to Francis and Elizabeth (Pasquale) Potanovic in Yonkers where he was raised and graduated from Sacred Heart Grade School and Gorton High School. Mr. Potanovic was a self- employed mechanic and arborist with Mike’s Tree Service. He was a parishioner of Christ the King Church and an avid motorcycle rider; He enjoyed driving his “Harley”. Michael is survived by his father, Francis Potanovic of Wappingers Falls and predeceased by his mother Elizabeth. He is also survived by his brother, Robert (Andrea) Potanovic, sisters, Susan (Jim) Coughlin, Janice (John) Marafioti and Barbara (Carl) Penasso, his nieces, Jessica, Ashley, Christina and Elizabeth and his nephews, James, Brian, Eric and Zach. Visiting hours will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Friday 2-4 & 7-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Christ the King Church on Saturday May 24th at 10am. Donations in his memory may be made to the Liver Transplant Support Organization, 1335 Mace Ave., Bronx, N.Y. 10469.
