Robert Joseph Allen Jr.

Robert Joseph "Joe" Allen was a cherished husband and friend, as well as a father and grandfather. He split his time between his family and business in California and his office in New York City. He traveled throughout his life, most extensively in Europe but also to Egypt and South America. He was also a life long supporter of the arts, music - especially opera and the ballet, and he collected paintings and artifacts from nearly everywhere he visited. He was also a writer of both text books and novels. Most recently he wrote an entire series of murder mysteries the last of which was published just this fall (Sept 2022). Joe was a complex, intelligent and passionate father, brother, son, uncle, nephew, business partner and friend. He passed peacefully at home in Yonkers, NY October 29, 2022 after a long battle with renal and bladder cancer.

Joe is survived by his children Annie "Angus", and John, his grandchildren Isabelle and Thalia Xiana, brother Tom, sister Maggie and a large extended family, and friends.

A celebration of life will be held in the funeral home on Saturday November 19th at 1pm. Final disposition will be private.
