

Robert M. Knoblock of Yonkers died on Friday September 14, 2012 at age 88. Born on May 31, 1924 in Demoines, Iowa. Mr. Knoblock worked as a Printing Supervisor for Histacount in Long Island and also Farrand Controls in Valhalla. He was a World War II Army Veteran stationed in France assigned to the 757 Railway Ship Battalion. An active parishioner of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church he enjoyed playing cards, tennis, bowling and golf and was an avid Yankee fan. He is survived by 3 children; Stephen (Braddon Mehrten) Knoblock of Yonkers, Robert S. Knoblock of Fishkill and Patricia (John) Kothe of Yorktown Heights and was predeceased by his daughter Lorraine Thiele. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was also predeceased by 2 wives, Mary (Kosar) Knoblock and Alice (Graven) Knoblock. Visitation will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Sunday September 16, 2012 from 4pm to 8pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday September 17, 2012 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church at 10am with interment to follow at Calverton National Cemetery. Donations can be made to Most Holy Trinity Choir.
