York - Betty J. (Heffner) Watkins, of York, passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2019, at 5:35 am, at UPMC Pinnacle Memorial Hospital, at the age of 58.
She was born in York on September 21, 1960, and daughter of the late Benjamin and Viola (Bortner) Heffner. She worked at Giant in the bakery and also at Big Lots. She enjoyed watching TV, baking, word searches, assisting others with laundry and spending time with family.
Viewing will be on Thursday, Aug. 8th, from 6-8 pm at Burg Funeral Home, Inc ., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. A Service of Honor and Praise for Betty will begin at 8 pm at the funeral home, with Rev. Steven A. Schmuck, of Red Lion Bible Church, officiating. Burial will be private at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
She leaves two daughters, Jessica L. Watkins (Gabriel Berrios), with whom she resided, and Dawn M. Kinard (Benjamin) of York, a son, John J. Watkins, Jr. (fiance', Brittney), 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and 7 siblings.
