Peggy A. Kessler, 66, died December 8, 2017 at York Hospital. She was the wife of Edward L. Kessler. They celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on July 8, 2017.

Born February 22, 1951 in York, she was the daughter of the late Paul B. and Betty L. (Shurgarts) Wilson.

She retired in 2003 from the York County Nursing Home as a supervisor of housekeeping.

Peggy was a 1969 graduate of Central York High School and a 1971 graduate of Empire Beauty School. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sisters, Barb and her husband, Barry Kashner of York and Susan Eyler; and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held Friday, December 15, 2017 from 3 to 4 p.m. at the Etzweiler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 1111 E. Market Street, York. A graveside service will be held Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, 250 Chestnut Hill Road, York, with the Rev. Allen M. Schwarz officiating. Family and friends are invited to meet at the entrance of the cemetery at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Leukemia And Lymphoma Society, 101 Erford Road, Suite 201, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
