She was the beloved mother of three daughters: Sandy Mueller (Mark), Christie Ladd (Allan), and Jacquelyn Schwei (Russell). Carol was a cherished grandmother to Brian Mueller (Dana), Dr. Alexandria Schwei-Martin (John), Aaron Schwei, and Savanah Nelson (Tyler), and a proud great-grandmother to Tatum Mueller, Tess Mueller, Reese Martin, and Lois Nelson. A special family friend, Dr. Gerald Vogler (Judith), also survived Carol.
Her devoted and loving husband of 69 years, Rudy Bartos, and her grandson, Scott Mueller, PhD, preceded her death.
Before retiring, Carol worked at Sears in pricing and stocking. Known for her warm smile that could light up any room, she was deeply loved by all who knew her. Her grandchildren affectionately called her “Beeps,” a nickname inspired by her love of birds. Carol also had a special fondness for dogs and found immense joy in their companionship.
Christmas held a special place in Carol’s heart; she delighted in giving gifts and hosting festive gatherings for family and friends. Her generosity and love made the holiday season magical for everyone around her.
Carol’s memory will forever be treasured by those who were fortunate enough to know her. Her angelic spirit lives on, comforting us with sweet memories and wrapping us in love.
May her legacy of love and kindness continue to inspire all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life is being planned for May 2025 in Scottsdale.
