

Charles Romeo DeCaen, age 89, was called to Heaven on September 1st, 2018. Charles was born on August 5th, 1929 at a charming seaside town of Paspébiac, Quebec, Canada, on the Bay de Chaleur, on the Gaspé Peninsula, to his parents Charles and Alice DeCaen.
Charles was the first child of many. At the age of approximately 3 years old they moved to Ontario, Canada. He then completed his formal education in upstate New York and moved to Montreal, Quebec, Canada and married his beloved wife Gloria on November
5th, 1949.
Charles served 32 years with Canadian National Railways where he retired as Superintendant, Central Station, Montreal and then moved with his wife Gloria to pursue his dream of living in California where he enjoyed working as Estate Manager of the Honorable Walter H. Annenberg in Rancho Mirage, California.
Charles and Gloria then moved to Sun City West, Arizona, then on to Sun City Grand, Arizona, and attended The Crown of Life Lutheran Church, in Sun City West, Arizona for several years until Charles started receiving Home Hospice care a few years ago.
During his long and happy life Charles always loved the Lord and did many Christian activities and enjoyed international and domestic travel with his wife Gloria. He really enjoyed his home, Golf, Fishing, as well as Hockey and Baseball.
He is survived by his loving wife Gloria of over 68 loving years. Gloria took loving constant care of Charles in their home until his passing.
Charles is also survived by 2 sons, Ron and Pasquale(Pat), and a daughter, Linda, and 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, as well as several brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Charles always had a contagious smile and a kind dispostion. He will surely be missed by many.
