

Don was born in Gothenburg, Nebraska on February 28, 1952 to parents Henry and Marie (Gleim) Cler.
In 1963 the family moved to Brighton where Don met his lifelong partner and of love of his life, Sandi Graeb. In 1971 they got married and purchased a home in Fort Lupton, Colorado, where they raised three daughters, Dee-Dee, Dawn and Lori.
Don was drafted in 1972 and served for 6 years in the Colorado Army National Guard. He worked with his father running the service station on 6th & Bridge for 50 years.
In 2017 Don and Sandi sold the station. In 2021, they sold their home in Colorado to fulfill a life dream of retirement in Arizona.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, brother Henry Jr., and sister Barbara.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 53 years, Sandi, daughters Dee-Dee Cler of Columbus, Ohio, Dawn Cler of Buckeye, Arizona, Lori (David) Castilleja of Fort Lupton, Colorado, Eight grandchildren, Dezmon (Jesse), Devynn, Delaynee Sanchez, Rikki McDonald, Toni (Jordan) Sarazen, Dilyn, Daryn and D'Nay Castilleja, three great-grandchildren, Anayah, Kaydence, Raelynn Sanchez and 1 great-grandchild due to join the family in December, as well as numerous nieces and nephews family and friends.
A Celebration of Don's Life will be held at a later date.
