Elaine R. Fischer, 90, of Surprise, AZ passed away at home on December 18th, 2020, surrounded by her family. She was the widow of Sherman (Bud) Fischer.
Born in Chicago, Il on January 18, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Edna Grabowski. She attended Notre Dame High School and retired from Township High School District 211 in 1995.
Elaine was a long time member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish in Surprise, AZ. She enjoyed jewelry making, knitting and cross stitching as well as travel and an occasional casino trip.
She is survived by her daughter Mary Skogsberg (late Mike), grandson Jesse Fischer, granddaughter Heather Maddox (Shawn), granddaughter Jamie Maddox, daughter-in-law Cyndi Fischer, sister in law Rita Grabowski, best friend Evelyn Smith and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her sons Robert and Wayne and granddaughter, Payton Fischer and her siblings, Eugene (Helen), Edmund (Gloria) and Joseph.
Funeral Mass will be held at St. Clare of Assisi, 17111 W. Bell Road, Surprise, AZ on Saturday, January 16th at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will be at a later date at St. Michael's Cemetery, Palatine, IL.
