Lois Anita was my dear friend for 47 years- a blessing beyond measure.
She gifted me with unconditional love, carried me through countless struggles with grace. We shared our stories, our joys, our lives. Though from very different backgrounds, our relationship was strengthened for decades by our belief in the power of love, our common ground. 
She was my teacher, mentor, and guiding light. 
I remember her story of being on a bus alone as a young girl, having to leave home, to attend school in a new town. She was fearful, until she heard the sound of angels, as the wheels of the bus turned. She knew God was with her, carrying her. She was at peace, and knew she would always be ok. Today, I know the angels are leading my dear friend into paradise, into the arms of God.
Hers was a life well lived, an inspiration to all who knew and loved her. We are better for the privilege of knowing her. She will be missed, and remembered forever.

The Lord blessed me with a queen for a grandmother and allowed me share her presence on this plane until I was 34.  Thank you Nana for pouring so much love and support into me and my family. Thank you for 34 years of hugs, kisses, prayers and encouragement.  

Nana, you gave me so many wonderful childhood memories. You ignited my love for so many of my hobbies and help shape me to become the woman I am.  I will always cherish the times you took me on adventures, taught me new games, played the organ for me and showered me with love. 

Thank you for protecting me and standing up for me when no else would. Thank you for being a voice for me when I couldn’t find my own. 

Nana, when I was 20, single and pregnant you were the FIRST person to give me unwavering support and tell me it would be okay. You shared your experience of motherhood and showered me with love in the moments where I only felt  shame. You gave me strength and reminded me of your struggles, you kept me going in the times I wanted to give up. 

Thank you for accepting my family and treating them as your own.  You have given us so much love. I vow to continue to teach them all that you have taught me. 

You have been my angel here on earth and now you are my angel in heaven. I know you reunited with your family, feeling good and enjoying Jesus. I will hold you in my heart and keep your memory alive. 

Until we meet again, “Be sweet! Don’t sour! Think about me every hour!”

 Extending my condolences and prayers for Peace and Comfort to the Young family.  She and Melvin were like family and I am forever grateful for how that blessed me and my family.
