Mary Ann Connolly

Mary was born June 10, 1954 to Dorothy and Harold Connolly and passed February 3, 2021. She resided in Surprise AZ with her grandson Xavier Guzman. Mary raised Xavier in her second round of motherhood. She was never too far away from her daughter Rebecca Below and her children Cayden and Gillian who lived nearby. Mary was also loving Mom to Allyson Morrison who resides in Utah with her children Jolene, Constance, Maya and Elijah.

Mary was 3rd of 6 children, still with us is Susan Socha living in Las Vegas, NV, William Connolly living in San Antonio, TX and Jean Ivaska living in Glendale, AZ. Brothers John and Robert Connolly predeceased her. Mary has joined her brother's and parents Harold and Dorothy in Heaven.

Mary grew up in Clarendon Hills IL where she graduated from Wheeling High School in 1972. Mary was a good student and friend to many but was best known by her friends and family as mischievous. All in good fun.

Getting married shortly after high school she traveled and lived on many military bases in the US and spent 3 different tours in Germany totaling 8 years. She loved her time in Europe and love traveling around seeing all the sights especially her favorites being the amazing castles. Mary settled in Arizona in 2002.

Working in in the medical field as medical staff for most of her career she took great pride in being an expert in her field all the while helping staff and doctors. Her work associates were family to her and close and dear to her heart.

Mary was a kind person and would do anything for those she loved, literally give you the shirt off her back if you needed it. She loved spending time with her family and was always happiest when she could just visit, go shopping or chat with them. Mary always felt family was the reason to live and even while under inpatient care over Christmas was able to facetime with the family to share in the celebration.

Those who met her will always remember her smile that lit up her eyes and that ever present mischievous laugh. May God bless you and keep you in his heart.
