Nancy Catherine Holt, 80, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2022. Nancy was born on October 9, 1941 in Orland Park, Illinois. She was the eldest of three daughters to Gertrude and Joseph Peloquin. She married Ellwood Holt of Chicago in 1962 and spent the early part of their marriage working for Rock Island Railroad. Shortly after the birth of their son, they moved to Arizona and resided in Glendale. Following the death of her spouse, Nancy continued to work for Swift Transportation until her retirement and moved to Sun City, Arizona.
Nancy enjoyed retirement and the various activities the community offered. She was a Mary Kay consultant, an avid Danielle Steel reader, Queen of her Red Hat Group, and made homemade cards, bookmarks, and other Stampin’ Up novelties that she lovingly gave to family, friends, and anyone who needed their spirits lifted. She was a gentle, kind, and generous soul that loved her family, friends, animals, and God.
She is survived by her son Michael (Michelle), grandchildren Cheyenne, Morgan, and Tyler, sisters Carol (Bob) and Linda (Dave), and many other extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Nancy’s name to Wildlife World Zoo, Aquarium, and Safari Park in Litchfield Park, Arizona.
To everything there is a season,
and a time for every purpose under heaven.
A time to be born and a time to die...
A time to weep and a time to laugh.
-Ecclesiastes 3: 1-2, 4
