Richard Dee Rees

Richard Dee Rees 74, of Peoria, AZ, passed away on March 13th 2014. Our beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born Aug 3rd 1939 in Ogden Utah. Career wise, Richard graduated from 3 Utah colleges with A.S., B.S., M.S., and Ed. D. degrees. For over 40 years he was a professor of psychology at Glendale Community College, serving 14 of those years as chair of the Psychology Dept. He was a licensed psychologist in Arizona. Richard was an accomplished musician and composed numerous songs. He especially cherished the songs he wrote for his wonderful wife and precious children. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. His greatest goal was to serve and love his family. He was a faithful member of and High Priest in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He also served as an ordinance worker in the Mesa, Arizona Temple for several years. He never lost sight of the values entailed in the concept of an eternal family. Surviving are his wife, Teresa Lee Rees, his four children, David Rees, Carol Williams, Kenneth Rees, and Donna Canyon (Jonathan). He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
