Sharon Sue (Blevins) Deal

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Mother Sharon Sue Deal, affectionately known as “nana-one-leg" on 11/18/2023. She left this world surrounded by the love of her family, leaving behind a legacy of love, resilience, and boundless joy.

Born on 10/05/1948 to Richard and Sara Blevins of Topeka, KS, Sharon Sue Deal was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, nanna, and friend. She touched the lives of everyone she encountered with her kindness, warmth, and gentle spirit, living life to its fullest. She was a devoted wife to Frank Joseph Deal, for 56 years with whom she shared a deep and enduring love until his passing on 07/26/2023. Together, they exemplified a love that transcended time and left an indelible mark on their children and those who knew them. She was a devoted mother to Troy Deal and Kimberly Elkins, a loving mother-in-law to Rene Deal and Chad Elkins, along with what she would deem as her most important role as a dedicated Nanna to her three grandchildren, Makaela Elkins, Travis Deal, and Nick Elkins

Sharon Sue Deal faced life's challenges with extraordinary strength and resilience. In 2004, she courageously battled cancer, losing a leg in the process. Yet never did she let this define her or hinder her indomitable spirit. Instead, she embraced life with a vitality that inspired all who knew her.

Known as "One-Legged Nanna," a nickname she proudly used as her email address, she approached life with a contagious enthusiasm. Despite physical challenges, she continued to dance to the rhythm of her heart, especially to the tunes of Elvis Presley, Patsy Cline and other iconic 1950s artists that she held dear.

Sharon Deal was full of warmth, laughter, and unconditional love. Her hugs were cherished and her smile contagious. As a Nanna, she played a pivotal role in shaping the lives of her grandchildren, creating lasting memories and imparting valuable life lessons. Sharon Deal was not just a Nanna; she was a source of unwavering support, love, and wisdom for her family and friends.

A celebration of Sharon Sue Deal's life will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday January 11th, 2024, at CCV Surprise 14787 W Cholla St. Surprise, AZ 85379.

May her memory be a source of inspiration and a reminder to live life with the same vibrance, joy, and love that she embodied. Rest in peace with the Lord Jesus, as you are now reunited with your soulmate and dance among all the angles in heaven.
