Arawista Delores Ludwig

Arawista Delores (Packer) Ludwig age 83, died at home in Yuma, Arizona, on Tuesday, December 27, 2011. She was born August 4, 1928, in Shawnee, Oklahoma,

Wista married Charles F. Ludwig, Jr. on May 24, 1947. They lived and raised their family in Yuma. She worked at the Yuma County Health Department as a nurse for over 30 years. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Wista is survived by her brother, Paul L. Packer of Howell, Michigan; her four children: Marc C. Ludwig of Poway, California, Jan C. Delarm of Yuma, Arizona, Karla Oates of Yuma, Arizona and Paula Elmes of Fairbanks, Alaska; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Wista was preceded in death by her husband, Chuck and her parents, Lloyd, and Ruth Packer.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 5, 2011 at Desert Lawn Memorial Park, 1415 S. 1st Ave. Yuma, Arizona, and presided over by Pastor George Boundey of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Relatives and friends are welcome at the service and the reception immediately following at Wista's home: 2913 S. Hope Drive, Yuma, AZ.
