Bill and his family later moved to Yuma. He attended Yuma High and ASU and then returned to Yuma.
Bill was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Esther; his dad, Curtis; and his brother, Don. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Julie; his lifelong friend, John Bustamante; sister-in-law, Margie Mercer; brother-in- law, Jerry Wilson; nieces and nephews.
Bill's principal interest was sports, especially baseball. He loved playing, coaching and discussing sports. If there is a baseball team in heaven, be assured, Bill is playing on it. There are no services planned. Bill asked that you not weep for him, but remember him on the baseball field.
