

Dale was born on May 2, 1932, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Lawrence and Lola Sattley. As a young boy, Dale worked as a farmhand during WWII, and developed both an impressive work ethic and his love of animals during this time. As a young adult, Dale made his way to Tucson and joined the rodeo circuit as a saddle bronc rider. During the Korean War, Dale served his country by joining the US Air Force and worked as a security patrolman based out of Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson.
Dale moved to Yuma in 1958 and married Jonnie Stroud in 1960. Dale and Jonnie raised three children together, and Dale begin his business, Sattley and Sons Backhoe Service. Dale conducted his business with integrity; His handshake was his contract and his work ethic and skill with heavy machinery made him a respected member of the community.
Dale dearly loved his family, and left to cherish his memory are his children, Susan Botts (Alvin), Clint Sattley-Allen (Sherri), Jacquie Nylund (Les), Talbert Sattley (Brenda), Larry Sattley (Coree), grandchildren Dustyn, Kenna, Jake, Eli, Malinda, Melisa, Sean, Brandee, Garret and Hailee, many great grandchildren, and his partner of 22 years, Linda Clark.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Betty, and his loving wife of 32 years, Jonnie.
