David Calvin Harrington

David Harrington, age 60, died in Yuma on Thursday, August 22nd, 2013. Born in McNary, he was a lifelong resident of Arizona.

He was preceded in death by his father Cal Harrington. He is survived by his wife Teresa; his mother Joanne Harrington and his sister Linda Spriggs, each of Yuma; son Clint of Yuma and daughter Amy of Los Angeles; three grandchildren; stepdaughters Margo (Athon) Morrison, Amanda (Jason) Beck, Sarah (Ross) Gwynn, six step grandchildren, and many friends.

A graduate of Yuma High School, David was the owner of D & H Electric. He served on the Yuma County Fair Board and Commission for many years. Since 2006 he served on the City of Yuma Building Advisory Board as the electrical expert.

David was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed the outdoors with his family and friends.

Memorial Services will be held at 2pm on Thursday, August 29th, 2013, at Johnson Mortuary Chapel, 1415 South First Avenue, Yuma, Arizona.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Humane Society of Yuma, 4050 South Avenue 4 and 1/2 E, Yuma. AZ, 85365 or to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation at www.cff.org.

David Calvin Harrington, 60, of Yuma, died Aug. 22, 2013, in Yuma.

Born Feb. 21, 1953, in McNary, Ariz., he was a self-employed electrical contractor.
