

David Palacio Munoz, 58, entered eternal life and peace on Sunday, November 14, 2010. He was born on November 5, 1952 in Yuma.
David worked in construction as a plasterer all his life where he met and made many of his lifelong friends. He coached girls softball and baseball for many years. Despite his failing health, he embraced life with a good sense of humor, always had a smile on his face and a joke to tell. He loved to have family get-togethers to barbecue and was the Washington Redskins #1 Fan. On June 30, 1973, he married the love of his life, Nancy, at Immaculate Conception Church.
David is survived by his wife, Nancy; three children, David Jr., Timothy, and Mariza; his specially loved two grandchildren, Jacob and Michelle Ray Munoz; mother, Gloria Palacio Munoz; brothers, Peter (Maria) Munoz of Phoenix, AZ, Danny (Carmen) Munoz, and Larry Palacio; sister, Christina (Henry) Espinoza. He was preceded in death by his father, Pete Munoz and grandparents, Frank and Inez Palacio.
A Wake will take place at Johnson Mortuary on Thursday, November 18, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with Rosary recitation at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church on Friday, November 19, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Desert Lawn Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Henry Espinoza III, Josh Ramos, Alex Ramos Jr., Erik Munoz, Michael Munoz, Danny Munoz Jr. and Robert Trujillo Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Henry Espinoza Jr., Peter Munoz, Danny Munoz, Larry Palacio, Steve Ochoa, Larry Ochoa, Alex Ramos Sr., Barney Krull, Ernie Hurtado, Alex Orta Jr., Nobert Laurel, Carlos Ramos, Chico Ramirez, Billy Villa, Albert Orta, Gilbert Orta, Bobby Orta, Frank, Manuel and Alfred Palacio.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the Life Care Nursing Center or Yuma County Humane Society.
Thank you to the wonderful staff at YRMC ICU and Life Care Center for their compassion and care they showed to our father, son, and brother.
