I only knew Evelyn for a short time, the last few years of her life. I tried my best to make them better for her. I will remember her with love and fondness forever as a member of my extended family

Thanks to all of you for your support and kind words. She did not suffer. She was uttering beautiful peaceful sighs for her last earthly hours. The staff of the care facility and the Hospice workers were wonderful to her and Linda and me . Linda read The Lord's Prayer to her near the end with tears falling on the Bible. I don't know what I would have done without her.  God has blessed all of us with strength.  Mother is in the arms of the angels now.

Mom is at her final resting place in god's arms. I will truly miss her smile and bubbly personality. She went in peace May God Bless her and take care of her for eternity. Love You Mom. Your Daughter Linda

With sincere sympathy in the passing of your mother, my "Sweet Aunt Evelyn".
I remember as a child and even a young adult when Aunt Evelyn would come to visit Grandma Pauline. She was so vibrant and colorful. From her beautiful red hair to her flawlessly polished finger nails.  My warmest memories are of her beautiful smile that she had for everyone that walked into the room. She had such a giving heart and would give you anything you asked for that she had, of course.  1 time in particular she had this little white kitten that was about 8 inches tall, it was on a sensor and when you walked by, it would meow at you. Kristen, my daughter, loved that kitty. When she said she liked it your mom told her she could have it, we left it for years at grandmas house and then Kristen brought it home to sit on our front porch. I remember your mom bringing in a big box of "stuff" she pulled out jewelry, books, kitchen items just to name a few and she gave them to me. You had to be careful, because if you admired something, she gave it to you.....
To the family I want you to know that today is not a day of sorrow, but a day of celebration, that your mother is finally at peace. It has been a rough few years for her.  Remember also that today is not a day to dwell on the past but to look to the future. Even though Aunt Evelyn lived for 88 years we must remember that life is short and we must live it to the fullest.  No Regrets, be kind to each other and be there for each other from this day forward. I love you all, and your mother will be dearly missed.

Deepest regrets for losing your Mother.  We are thankful that you got to spend a special time with your Mother before she passed into eternity.  Sorry we can't be there for the funeral....but you will be in our thoughts.
