Fred Dewey Whatley Jr.

Freddie was born February 23rd, 1964, to Fred Whatley Sr. and Guillermina (Mina) Whatley in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He moved around a lot with his parents and two sisters, Tommie and Patricia, as Fred Sr. was in the military. The family settled for a few years in San Antonio, Texas where Freddie met the mother of his first-born son and daughter, Susan McMahon, while the rest of his family moved onto Wellton, AZ. Freddie and Susan fell in love and had two kids, Brent and Brittany, and he did his best to be there for his children and first love and treated Susan's daughter, Kylie, as one of his own.

Freddie worked for Fiesta Texas in San Antonio as the water technician. But he missed his mom and dad, so he decided to move to Wellton to spend more time with them. In 2010 Freddie's youngest son Tyler was born and Freddie worked hard to take good care of his new baby. Freddie did landscaping and helped anyone who needed it.

Freddie was a good guy in general. Always there with a helping hand and a hearty laugh. He loved good food, his family, a good time, and good music. His nieces, nephew, and their children lovingly called him their Uncle Fafa.

He is survived by his mother, Mina; sisters, Tommie and Pattie; children, Brittany, Kylie, and Tyler; nieces, Tara, Stacy, Brandi, Tristen, and nephew Nicholas.

Freddie is preceded in death by his father, Fred Sr., and his first-born son, Brent Whatley.
