He was a proud Criminal graduate from Yuma High School and a diehard University of Arizona Wildcat, where he earned his degree and became a lifelong Pharmacist. Jaime's pharmacy career spanned over 50 years in which he owned his own business and proudly worked in many area pharmacies. Along with his devotion to Yuma, he served his country by joining the United States Navy from 1960-1965. He worked as a pharmacist at the Bethesda Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. From this experience came many stories that he loved telling, and we enjoyed hearing just as much.
Through all of his travels, he always returned to Yuma, where he raised his children and gave back to the community through various volunteer societies, was a proud member of the Democratic Party, and worked as the first Scoutmaster, in San Luis, Arizona in the Boy Scouts. He was an avid gun collector and loved target shooting. Jaime kept busy mind and body by reading a plethora of newspapers and magazines at his favorite coffee spot, talking about history and politics with many friends, and having breakfast and/or lunch with a group of elementary/high school classmates.
He is remembered for his strong work ethic, his never-ending love of learning, and his deep and strong Catholic faith. In addition, while he will be missed daily, we will always cherish, in our hearts, the memories of his countless stories that we are fortunate to have collected over the years.
