

Jane Hamon, 83, of Yuma, was a dedicated wife, wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a kind friend to all who knew her. Jane was born in Stonington, Maine, August 26, 1929. She was the daughter of James and Ethel Turley. She went home to be with her precious Lord and Savior on January 13, 2013. She passed away in her home within the comfort of her family.
Jane grew up in New London, Connecticut where she married David William Hamon in November 1953. They moved to Yuma in 1956. She worked as a payroll clerk for various companies: Blue Bell, Klein's Electric, and Canyon State Water. She was a long time member of First Baptist Church and for the past few years has been a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She loved to sew and do counted cross stitch.
Jane is survived by her son, David Hamon of San Jose, California; daughter, Linda (Randy) Sullivan of Yuma; three grandchildren, Shawn Sullivan, J.W. Sullivan, and Crescent Naderhoff. She also had one great grandson, Johnathan Sullivan, and was expecting one great granddaughter, Elaine Sullivan, to be born soon. She is also survived by her brother, William Turley of Uncasville, Connecticut, two nieces and nine nephews. In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by her husband, David and sister Dorothy Canning.
Saturday, January 19th at 11:00 am, there will be a Celebration of Life service at Calvary Baptist Church; 101 W 26th Street; Yuma, AZ.
