

Jeanne Ann Weaver Linde Jr., 60, passed away on Monday, December 16, 2013 in Yuma, Arizona after a long battle with metastatic breast cancer. Jeanne was born on December 12, 1953 in San Antonio, Texas. Jeanne was the owner of Jeanie's Party Supply & Costume and was a professional member of Party Club of America. She had a passion for cats and animal protection.
Jeanne is survived by her husband, Steve Linde of Yuma; mother, Jeanie Pace of Yuma; stepfather, Levi Pace of Wilhoit, AZ; father, Charles Weaver of Titusville, FL; stepmother, Roberta Weaver of Titusville, FL; brothers, Pat Pace and Charlie Weaver both of Yuma, and John Pace of Scottsdale, AZ; step-daughters, Kristen Linde of Yuma, Jennifer Linde of Flagstaff, AZ, Angela Linde of Yuma, and Stephenie Linde of Flagstaff, AZ; step-sons, Devin Linde of Bisbee, AZ, Jaron Linde of Zainsville, OH, and Michael Linde of Flagstaff, AZ; mother-in-law, Doris Linde of St. George, UT; brothers-in-law, Doug (Shauna) Linde of Salt Lake City, UT and Craig (Nancy) Linde of St. George, UT; sisters-in-law, Linda (Fred) Dennison of St. George, UT, Kay (John) Pace and Betty (Pat) Strevel both of Yuma; step-sister, Bonnie (David) Duncan of Tempe, AZ; and 9 grandchildren.
Memorial Service will be this Thursday, December 19, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Johnson Mortuary Chapel, 1415 S 1st Avenue, Yuma.
Jeanne Ann Weaver Linde Jr. was a modest woman, quiet and observant in her ways. She was trustworthy and traditional in her approach to her life and in her relationships. She was tough-minded with the kind of “stick to it” attitude that earned the respect of all who knew her. She was also a woman who was meticulous, carefully disciplined, and orderly in virtually everything she undertook. Realistic about life, she was always at the ready, prepared to take on responsibility.
Jeanne was born on December 12, 1953 at the Air Force Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. Her parents were Jeanie and Charles Weaver. Jeanne was raised in Yuma, Arizona. She was brought up to be self-confident and dependable. These were traits that would serve her well throughout her life.
As a young child, Jeanne was never someone who needed to be the center of attention. She wasn’t pushy and never forced her way into games or other activities. Jeanne developed a variety of interests, though, and the things she enjoyed doing she did well. She was always curious about the world around her and was often eager to explore it. She was a Girl Scout. In her spare time she liked playing House and running the House. However, what Jeanne enjoyed most was simply playing and spending time with her many friends.
While her teachers and even her friends generally thought of Jeanne as being a serious person, she managed to have a pretty good time in high school as she made that critical transition from adolescence to adulthood. She graduated from Kofa High School in 1970. She enjoyed some courses more than others, having favorite classes and teachers. Jeanne's accomplishments in high school was that she graduated. Jeanne was a very logical person who enjoyed learning about factual information. Using her exceptional memory, she was able to learn much through observation. Jeanne always seemed to have a command of the facts and was able to make it seem as though she could easily master any problem that might be presented to her.
On August 12, 1993 Jeanne exchanged wedding vows with Steve John Linde at the Latter Day Saints Chapel of Yuma, Arizona. Compassionate and devoted to Steven, Jeanne held endearing, traditional values about marriage and family life. She took the responsibility of marriage to heart, giving it her total commitment. She was a source of strength to Steven and using her gifts at nurturing one-on-one relationships, she worked hard to make her new family happy.
Jeanne greatly enjoyed what she did for a living. She was a hard worker who expected the same in return from her employees. She was skilled at working effectively in small groups and in one-on-one situations as well as handling solo assignments efficiently. Jeanne enjoyed dealing with concrete ideas and could penetrate any amount of fuzzy information to reach the essential facts. Always able to attend to the task at hand, Jeanne was excellent at meeting deadlines. She was an efficient worker, one who paid careful attention to detail, allowing sufficient time to complete one task before moving on to the next. Her primary occupation was owner of Jeanie's Party Supply. She owned Jeanie's for about 40 years. Jeanne worked hard to be a team leader, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done.
Jeanne found pleasure in walking. Jeanne was a great planner who was incredibly well organized. It seemed that she was able to schedule any event or activity with ease. She always seemed to know exactly what needed to be done. In high school, Jeanne was a member of the Party Club of America.
As a woman who always showed great commitment to the things she believed in, it’s little wonder that Jeanne was so active in her community. Being practical and mentally disciplined, Jeanne preferred to base her decisions on first-hand experiences. Jeanne was never afraid to roll up her sleeves and dig right in. Jeanne was a member of several community groups, including serving on committees for the Yuma Community Theater. Politically, Jeanne was Republican.
Jeanne enjoyed traveling and taking vacations. Since she was an early starter and had a knack for planning everything, traveling with Jeanne appeared effortless. She enjoyed researching all of her examined options and applying cost-effective planning techniques. Plus, no matter where she traveled, Jeanne always had a back up plan at the ready, just in case. Favorite vacations were any place with her favorite guy - Steve.
Jeanne was a lover of animals and cherished her pets. One of Jeanne’s favorites pets were cats, she loved cats. Jeanne had cats all her life and they were her best friends.
Jeanne Ann Weaver Linde Jr. passed away on Monday, December 16, 2013 at Yuma Regional Medical Center in Yuma, Arizona. She fought a brave battle against cancer. She is survived by her husband, Steve Linde of Yuma; mother, Jeanie Pace of Yuma; step-father, Levi Pace of Wilhoit, AZ; father, Charles Weaver of Titusville, FL; step-mother, Roberta Weaver of Titusville, FL; brothers, Pat Pace and Charlie Weaver both of Yuma, and John Pace of Scottsdale, AZ; step-daughters, Kristen Linde of Yuma, Jennifer Linde of Flagstaff, AZ, Angela Linde of Yuma, and Stephenie Linde of Flagstaff, AZ; step-sons, Devin Linde of Bisbee, AZ, Jaron Linde of Zainsville, OH, and Michael Linde of Flagstaff, AZ; mother-in-law, Doris Linde of St. George, UT; brothers-in-law, Doug (Shauna) Linde of Salt Lake City, UT and Craig (Nancy) Linde of St. George, UT; sisters-in-law, Linda (Fred) Dennison of St. George, UT, Kay (John) Pace and Betty (Pat) Strevel both of Yuma; step-sister, Bonnie (David) Duncan of Tempe, AZ; and 9 grandchildren. Services were held at Johnson Mortuary, 1415 S. First Avenue in Yuma, Arizona. Jeanne was laid to rest in Yuma, Arizona.
Commitment is a key word that can be used to describe the life of Jeanne Ann Weaver Linde Jr. she was committed to living the life of a good woman who was both practical and trustworthy. She was committed to the traditional values that she upheld her entire life. She committed herself to being a hard worker who expected the same effort in return from those around her. Most of all, she was committed to those she knew and loved.
