Joe H. Osuna

He was born on September 27,1930 to the late Augustina Villegas Osuna and Jose Osuna. Joe married Stella L. Ochoa in 1949 and shared their love & life with their four children; Joseph (June), Michael (Debbie), Andrea and Christopher ( Susie). He was also grandfather to Larrisia, Anthony, Isaac, Ruben, Daniel, Lyda, Gabriel, Matthew and Laura and a great grandfather to nine.

In 1954 Joe started his career with the Yuma Fire Department. He strived and achieved to the rank of Captain and retired after 27 years of service.

During these years, Joe was also a boy scout leader, little league coach and Babe Ruth and city league coach.

Joe and his good friend Lieutenant Bill Penny worked the pest control business together until Joe purchased Penny Pest Control in 1962. He and his wife Stella devoted their expertise to the business for the years following. During this time Joe was a Pioneer Member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, an honorary member of the Knights of Columbus and a Eucharistic Minister for many years with St. Francis Church.

In honor of Joe's life, a wake will be held on Sunday April 17th from 5 to 9 PM at Johnson Mortuary, 1415 S. 1st Ave. A mass will be held on Monday April 18th at 10 AM at St. Francis Church.
