As a young boy, he enjoyed playing in the jungles behind his home in Guatemala, catching rays on the beaches of Florida, and finally settling in Yuma. He would go on to become a respiratory therapist, although if you asked his favorite job, it would always be the record store. He would serve the Yuma community for many years at the Yuma Regional Medical Center before happily retiring.
He loved good food, especially if it came from a little hole in the wall restaurant. He was a lover of classic rock music, traveling, and chocolate. He was an adventurer at heart, with possibly his biggest being becoming a father. He was married to Shara for sixteen years, and together they had Carolyn. They also raised Justin, Alyssa, and Sarah together. He was an incredibly kind and generous man, always looking for ways to help those he loved. His kindness will radiate into the world long after he is gone because of the legacy he has left behind.
He is survived by his daughter Carolyn, stepchildren Justin, Alyssa, and Sarah (Mike), his sister Jill (John) and Heidi (Glenn) and his many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Oma and Harold, and stepfather Malcolm Leet.
