

Kirby Lee Garrison, 86, passed away on Monday, January 19, 2015 in Yuma, AZ. He was born January 11, 1929 in Rotan, TX.
Kirby graduated from Yuma Union High school in 1947. He graduated from Rockmont College, and then received his masters from Conservative Baptist Seminary in Denver, CO. He was the owner of Kirby Garrison Construction where he was a role model for many young men. Being unable to retire, he worked for the City of Yuma as an inspector. Kirby was active and faithful in his church throughout the years. He was always asked to emcee at banquets and functions because of his great sense of humor. He enjoyed spending time with his family and reading his bible.
Kirby is survived by his wife, Patricia; daughters, Donna (Terry) Gebhart, Kelley (Dennis) Hotel; daughter in law Shirley Miles; sister, Edith Harden; brother, Nelvin Garrison; 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Clara Garrison; father, BD Garrison; sons, Monty and Tim Garrison; and daughter in law, Debbie Garrison.
Memorial services will be held at Johnson Mortuary Chapel on Friday, January 23, 2015 at 11am. His final resting place will be Desert Lawn Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Terry Gebhart, Dennis Hotel, Tim Garrison, Shawn Gebhart, Jason Garrison, Justin Garrison and Corey Hotel. Honorary Pallbearers are, Allison Hotel Trish Gebhart and Mallory Hotel.
