

Lavon June Wellard, 94, passed away of natural causes on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 in Yuma, AZ. Lavon was born June 30, 1920 in Pocatello, ID. She attended school up to the 10th grade. She was a homemaker who dedicated her time to her family and to her religion Latter Day Saints. Lavon loved to quilt, cook, and bake. She was dearly loved by her many friends and family.
Lavon is survived by her son, Dennis (Cassie) Wellard; daughters, Bonnie Clayton and Karen (Paul) Blair; 13 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren. Lavon was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth and Lyman Rytting; infant son, Jamie Wellard; husband, James Wellard; granddaughter, Amy Wellard; grandson, Jeffrey Blair; and brothers, Clyde, Floyd, and Ferrel Rytting.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Stake Center, 4300 W. 16th Street, Yuma with Bishop Val Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Desert Lawn Memorial Park. Memorial donations can be made to Hospice Compassus.
Pallbearers: Kevin Wellard, Kirk Wellard, Kit Wellard, Chris Clayton, Adam Blair, Brian Blair, and Troy Blair.
