Reba H. Halliwill, 90, died peacefully Saturday, September 24, 2011 in Yuma Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. She was born November 30, 1920 in Camp Lee, Virginia, the oldest of four children born to Wyatt and Minnie (Butler) Frazier.
Reba was the devoted wife of John E. Halliwill for 41 years. After raising three children, Reba worked for A J Bayless for 20 years, managing the bakery at times and decorating cakes. She also volunteered in the YRMC auxiliary when she wasn't traveling around the world. Some of Reba's closest friends were her fellow members of Beta Sigma Phi sorority.
Reba is survived by her younger brother, Wyatt Frazier; two sons, John E. Halliwill II and Charles R. Halliwill; daughter, Barbara (Halliwill) Johnson; four grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
A service will be held in Johnson Mortuary Thursday, September 29, 2011 in the chapel at 11am. The viewing will be Wednesday, September 28 from 5 to 8pm. If you wish to remember Reba, please send your donation to Hospice of Yuma or your favorite charity in lieu of flowers.
