

His childhood consisted of spending time between Sloan, NV and Mexicali, MX. As a young man he worked several jobs that included working in the citrus industry and the US railroad. Finally settling down working in the mines of Kaiser Steel in Eagle Mountain, California for 21 years. There he was a shovel operator and terex titan truck driver. He met the love of his life, Estela G. Casares in Mexicali, Mx and married on November 28, 1964. They made Eagle Mtn. home and raised their one son, Manuel Manny Casares. In 1980, he retired from Kaiser Steel and moved to Yuma, AZ. In Yuma, he worked several jobs before retiring again from Bruce Church/FreshCo produce company. A true hard-working man that believed in working hard for what you want in life.
He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, more importantly being with family! He loved working on cars, enjoyed fishing and some hunting. He enjoyed exploring the desert landscape. He enjoyed going to
the casino with family and friends just to pass the afternoon.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years Estela Casares, son Manuel Casares, daughter-in-law Jennifer Casares and his 2 loving granddaughters Jenna and Mia Casares. Also, the many family nieces and nephews from Las Vegas, Nevada, and Mexicali, MX.
