Timoteo was born on August 22, 1927 in Dilan, Pozorrubio Pangasinan, Philippines to his parents Albert Salon Riturban Sr. and Francisca Lopez. After graduating from high school, Timoteo pursued a degree at Far Eastern University, Philippines and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education (BSE) majoring in Math. He later pursued and received a Master’s Degree in Education in Dagupan City, Philippines.
After graduation, Timoteo worked in education as a high school Science and Math teacher for Bobonan Community High School (now Bobonan National High School), where he taught Geometry, Algebra, Physics and Calculus. Later on in his career, he became a high school assistant principal.
On November 6, 1954, Timoteo wed Saturnina Espinosa. The couple went on to have 3 children, Mimo, Miriam, and Mildrima. They were married for 68 years.
Timoteo retired in 1992 after over 40 years in the field. Even in retirement, he still had a passion for teaching; whenever he visited the Brawley, CA Senior Citizen Center with his wife and their friends, he taught others how to use the computer and he taught English to those who did not speak it. While retired, Timoteo loved playing bingo, surfing the internet, creating multiple Facebook accounts, visiting garage sales, playing with multiple cell phones and collecting watches.
Timoteo was predeceased by his wife, Saturnina. He is survived by his three children, Mimo Riturban, Miriam Baron and her husband Doctor Norman Baron, Mildrima Lim and her husband Dante Lim, as well as his grandchildren, Meim Fisher and her husband Ryan Fisher, Maju Lim and his wife Chalita Tepsing Lim, and great-granddaughter Maya Fisher.
