William Grant Sorensen

Mr. William Grant Sorensen, age 85, of Somerton, Arizona passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2022. William was born March 20, 1936 in Fowler, Colorado. William was a genuine American Cowboy. He also served in the US Navy, and worked as a Ditch Rider for the Yuma County Water Users Association.

William is survived by his wife, Gaye Sorensen; his daughter Lois LeAnn Buckhout (Daryl) of Patuxent River, Maryland; his son Bryan Scott Sorensen of Colorado; his step-daughter Kathy Hansen of California; his step-son Michael Jackson of Texas; his step-son Jerry P. Jackson of Colorado; and his sister Doris Ryder of Colorado.

William was preceded in death by his daughter Terrie Sorensen and his son Emmett Duane Sorensen.

William is also survived by 12 Grandchildren, 20 Great Grandchildren, and, 3 Great Great Grandchildren

A celebration of life memorial for William will be held Monday, March 21, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Johnson Mortuary & Desert Lawn Memorial Park, 1415 South 1st Ave, Yuma, Arizona 85364.

William will be laid to rest in Desert Lawn Memorial Park, 1415 s. First Avenue, Yuma, AZ.
