At an early age, he developed a close and personal relationship with Christ and remained close to Him until God called him home.
Fats received his education in the Kansas City Public School District. He was an entrepreneur, a true “Business Man”, very intelligent with several talents. He was creative and perfected many crafts, including music production and had a great stage presence, lawn care & landscaping, flipping houses, refurbishing & retailing automobiles. Whatever his mastermind would come with, he would figure out a way to accomplish it… He was a natural born leader; head strong with a lively personality. Fats had the biggest smile and a heart to match. His conversation was captivating and his spirit was joyous and funny. His laughter was contagious, and will remain in the memories of his close friends and loved ones forever.
Fats was a family man. He took pride in providing for his family. The real motivation behind every productive thought. He loved his wife and she sincerely loved him. His children and grandchildren had him wrapped around all their fingers. He treated his nieces and nephews as though they were his own. The bonds that were formed with his family and friends was unbreakable. An amazing man, very giving and forgiving with an amazing big heart…
Fats departed this life on May 15, 2020. He is preceded in death by his mother, Shelia R. Moore and brother, Phillip William James, Sr.
Left to cherish Fat’s memory is his wife, Jessica, their children: Marquita, Gerhard and Jamel, their grandbabies: Haivyn, Harlei, Bryson and Olivia; his father, Willie T.; his brother and sister, Christopher and LaTisha; aunts and uncles, several nieces and nephews and a host of loving family and friends.
