Dennice Elaine Bocook of Cushing passed away Sunday, February 14, 2021, in Nacogdoches at the age of 71. She was born March 16, 1949, in Tallapoosa, Missouri, to parents Clyde White and Agnes (Esperman) White.
Dennice was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casino, crafting pottery, and talking on the phone. She always found ways to connect to people. She loved flowers and gardening, when she was able. Some of her favorite shows to watch were Wheel of Fortune and Law & Order S.V.U. She attended Alto Community Fellowship Church.
Mrs. Bocook was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Loren Bocook; granddaughter, Kathy Barron; grandson, Cody Bocook; and son-in-law, Garland Hill, Jr.
She is survived by her son, Carl Nash of Cushing; daughters, Tina Garrett and husband Roy of Cushing, Roze Castillo and husband Leo of Gainesville, Texas, Lorea Bocook and husband Alex Garcia of Pollok, and Teresa Vargas and husband Sergio of Pollok; step-son, Loren Jay Bocook, Jr. and wife Michelle of Douglass; step-daughters, Karen Bocook of Ohio and Caroline Bocook of Ohio; brother, Robert White of Cushing; sister, Betty Clemons of Van Buren, Arkansas; 44 grandchildren; and 36 great-grandchildren (and counting).
Friends and family are invited to a visitation from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 25, 2021, at Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 26, 2021, at Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel officiated by Pastor Ron Rose. Interment will follow at Douglass Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Roze Castillo, Lorea Bocook, Chris Castillo, Jay Bocook, Colby Hill, and Carl Nash. Honorary Pallbearers will be Guillermo Castillo, Michael Barron, Mickey Castillo, Juan Barron, and Cristal Castillo.
Arrangements are under the direction of Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors, Nacogdoches.
