Proverbs 11:16a
Beverly Ann Stone, our loving and gracious mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, friend, and woman after God’s own heart, left her earthly bonds and entered the warm embrace of her Heavenly Father on March 26, 2021.
Beverly was born in Houston, Texas on July 23, 1936, was a member of the San Jacinto High School Class of 1954, and graduated from Massey Business School. She was an accomplished pianist who blessed family, friends, and the congregations of First Baptist Church Bellaire, West University Baptist Church, First Baptist Church Houston, and Kingsland Baptist Church with her heartfelt, anointed renditions of Christian songs and hymns, as well as classical piano pieces. She was also active in the Christian Fellowship Community Group, Worship Pastor Search Committee, and Welcome Team at Kingsland Baptist Church. However, Beverly will probably be best remembered for something she displayed so naturally and with ease on a daily basis as a Christ follower: Beverly loved God, she loved others, and she did both in very real way by meeting physical needs and through prayer. Loving, generous, gracious, and selfless will always come to mind when recalling Beverly’s life example.
While we rejoice at Heaven’s gain, we certainly mourn our Earthly loss. We will miss Mom, Grandma, Aunt Bev, ‘Bonus’ Mom, Sister, Grandma Bev, Ma, and all other terms of endearment lovingly bestowed upon Beverly by friends, family, and loved ones. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents Louis C. and Edna Duffard; loving husband H. Spencer Stone; and ‘bonus’ son Randy Stone. She is survived by her sister Shirley Donohoe of Edmond, OK; brother Ronnie Duffard of Edmond, OK; loving sons Mark and wife Benita Littlefield of Conroe, TX, Greg and wife Sue Littlefield of Phoenix, AZ, and Robert and wife Tina Littlefield of Denton, TX; wonderful ‘bonus’ children Debbie and husband Mike Parsons of Eastland, TX, Marnie (wife of Randy) Stone of Carrollton, TX, and Tammy and husband Bob Lawrence of Farmers Branch, TX; glorious grandchildren Mara Thompson, Kevin Littlefield, Joshua Littlefield, Gregory Littlefield, Samantha Littlefield, Carson Walker, Matthew Littlefield, Andy Parsons, Kimberly Maynard, Amy Williams, Corrie Stone, Gardner Lawrence, Fulton Lawrence, Frandsen Lawrence, and Gracie Lawrence;17 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
