He was born on December 3, 1948 in Madera, PA the son of the late James and Jeannette (Snyder) Mosley. On June 20, 1970 he married Cecelia E. (Clark) Mosley, who preceded him in death on March 7, 2018.
Bill served in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam Era. During his time in the service he received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and Rifle Marksman Badge.
Bill retired in 2010 from to post office after 39 years of service. He was a lifelong member of the VFW in Clearfield, Glen Richey Fire Hall, Glen Richey Sportsman’s Club and Masonic Lodge. He was one of the founders of the Glen Richey Fire Hall and Glen Richey Veterans Association.
He enjoyed playing cards in his pass time.
He is survived by two children: Suzette Marie Peters and her companion Jeffery Smithtro of Glen Richey and Bradley William Mosley of Clearfield; two grandchildren: Tyler (Serria Evans) Peters and Taylor Abbott and her husband Chase; three great grandchildren: Kayden Peters, Wakely Peters and Jaxon Abbott; a sister Sara Thompson; two brother in laws: Basil Matthew and Robert Clark III and his wife Deb; a sister in law, Daisy Mosley and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three brothers: Fredrick Mosley, Daniel Mosley and James Mosley and two sisters: Harriet Matthew and Donna Mosley; and sister in law Donna Mosley.
A memorial service will be held at 12pm on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Duane Stiner officiating. Burial will be in Mt Zion Cemetery; full military honors will be accorded by the Clearfield Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends on Monday, April 5 from 6-8pm at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. An addition hour of viewing will be held on Tuesday from 11am until the hour of services.
